More DeepFake Problems

The past week, a man created an eerily realistic DeepFake of Tom Cruise, largely for educational purposes.

The videos, posted on TikTok, quickly went viral and caused a stir.

Three separate videos were posted and all looked identical to Tom Cruise. In one video, Cruise is seen playing golf. In another, performing a magic trick. Check them out yourselves.

There is just no way any person could possibly discern that these videos were fake.

Scary Stuff.

This leads us back to a post I wrote months ago on DeepFake technology, link blow:

As both the above article and my previous article outline, the technology for this is just going to get increasingly better.

How in the world is this going to be combatted? Tech geeks across the country better get coding. This could become a real problem.

Just a short little post here, but I thought this issue deserved some face time.

It is only going to get worse.

As cool as technology is, I fear that in the future we may begin to realize that it is being taken too far.

But at this point this reality seems inevitable.
